In this video from Santiago, Chile, I travel to Santiago by flying over the Andes and into the capital. I visit Pablo Neruda’s house, taste wine in the Maipo Valley, then check out the nightlife in the city.

I really want to move out of Mexico, it's not the safest place in the world to be, plus criminals and poverty are everywhere.

Good luck in your travels. I plan on leaving the us soon.

It was ten years ago and I was doing public health work with a small NGO that is no longer around. They assigned me to the area.

Thanks for getting back. How did you decide on which part of tanzania to go? Did you go with someone that already knew the country?

Tanzania was fantastic. I lived on the mainland in a tiny village called Shinyanga. If I had to do it all over again I'd live on the island of Zanzibar which was heaven on earth! Have not visited Costa Rica yet. Since my last post I went to Argentina for three months. Also visited Uruguay. Next year I'm thinking of visiting southern Mexico (Gaunajuato) or perhaps Gautemala for a year to work on my Spanish.

How was Tanzania? A friend of mine loved it there? He was in DES and loved the beaches, culture and fresh food the most. Also have you been to Costa rica? WOuld like to hear about your experience. I am looking to visit the Seychelles.

I don't make enough to be rich but it is plenty to travel modestly.

@iamsillywarm Probably Buenos Aires just because it's larger, but those from Santiago may think differently!

Hello! I am thinking of relocating to either Buenos Aires or Santiago. I'm an American expeditioner like you. I have lived in Morocco (2 years) and Tanzania (2 years). I'm most interested in great public transportation (I don't want to drive), access to beautiful museums, buildings, book stores, cafes. Which city do you think is richest in these things? THANKS!

Thanks for your video on Santiago, it was great! nice to see a foreigner put my country in a positive light.
For anyone who hasn't been to Chile, it is a beautiful country with friendly people with lots to do, a week would never be enough. I live in Australia and just like you, when i come back and see the Andes on the plane, it not only takes my breath away but makes me happy as I know I'm getting closer to home.
